I was born and raised in Piraeus Greece and my primary medical education was in the University of Perugia in Italy.
My specialty in Neurology took place at the Athens Aeginition Hospital and I spent an IKY fellowship within the Neurosciences Departmeent at Yale University (USA).
I worked for several years as a Consultant Neurologist in the NHS in England (2003-2021) in every aspect of General Neurology treating patients with Neurological diseases leading the MS services.
My doctorate work (D.Phil) was held in Experimental Neurology at the Institute of Neurology Queen Square London.
During my London days I have been involved in several clinical trials for Neurological diseases at Guy's Drug Research Unit (Quintiles) and in the NHS.
Currently I am Medical advisor in the Department of Bioinformatics of the Ionian University - BIHELAB, working for new rerearch tools in MS and my clinical work is held in Attica Greece where I propose an holistic approach to MS people and their families in collaboration with the local support goups and facilities.
I believe in people and their amazing abilities when they come together, MS is a pathway to live in and we need to bring all our efforts and heart to live this path with medical acuity according to international standards, safely with respect and awarenness.
